Charging is always going to be an issue.
We are on a site in Salamanca ATM, 5amp. Can't put 2 things on at once (the fridge is on keeping the beers cold though)
Worth thinking about though.

I chose a non hook up part of the site at Billing which also meant I could move to different parts of the field.... the solar wasn't needed as the new Leisure battery took care of all the electric and the Gas ran the fridge, cooker and Heating...... Effectively I had 4 spare fully charged 120 AH Batteries...... one of them in the wardrobe section is used to charge my Battery Bike so i'm hoping it'll charge the Sur-ron as well..... I think the Solar is a great addition, especially for the longer trips which we have yet to have.
Ok, I confess.......

I wish i could understand this battery/solar stuff.
We have done a couple of odd nights without EHU with no issues. As you say gas takes care of the fridge, our hob is 3 gas rings 1 leccy. We have not had or wanted the telly on so not sure what the crack is if we did want. I am told it runs both on normal electric AND/OR leisure.

Doing a part of The Picos today. Riano to Potes. Only wish it was on the bike. Then a couple of night in San Sebastion.
The van has been great apart from a few quality issues.

My Solar set up is very heath Robinson !!! Basically the Cables run from the Panels into a charge Controller which controls the voltage and further cables run from it to the Battery with more cables attached to the Inverter which turns it into mains compatible and also 6 Volts for items like phone chargers....... The Cello TV we have runs off 6 volts and mains but we tend to run off 6 volts as it consumes less ...... my original Leisure battery was duff which made me decide to do the Solar stuff but I've since replaced the leisure one and it runs for ages now..... i'll just take it all out when it comes to selling, use it on the next one. Really looking forward to doing a week somewhere, got Tax and Insurance and MOT in a few weeks... ouch !
Ok, I confess.......

Some great documentaries around as to what is needed to make all the batteries and how they are mined..........and the costs.............nonsense.
This is why I'm against electric cars.

Explain to me again about how environmentally friendly your batteries are...
If it ain't fun, don't do it

They are not.... even down to the use of Petroleum based products that are used to make the battery cases (E-Bikes and Battery Cycles) and the Lithium is mined at great cost to the environment in the Countries with the worst polution due to having Coal fired power stations........ We in the UK seem to believe that our paltry 68 million can somehow save the Planet whilst everyone else all 7,000,000,000 of them don't give a rats. And as for Russia well i dread to think of the damage they are doing right now....................
Ok, I confess.......
