Re: New RV
This summer (haha) i have wanted and planned to go to about 5 or 6 classic car shows with Bertie. We have been to 1. All the others were rained off as i don't drive Bertie in the rain. Could have gone in a another car but half the fun is arriving and parking up with other old bangers and the chat.
Work is for people that can't play golf.
Re: New RV
I was hoping to do a few more shows with the bikes this year, and possibly the Midget, too, but with hospital stuff and house selling I seem to have missed almost everything and yet still not got anything done
Good to see that at least there are a few shows to go to this year, so there's still a chance I'll make one

Re: New RV
Tent a bloody tent
As you asked.
They accepted our rejection of the van.
After long negotiations we have decided to accept a brand new van with upgrades and delivered to our door at the same price. (i know they have gone up £3k since we bought the knackered one).
However, we have opted for the end Jan 2022 delivery as the season is nearly over, Shirl goes to Dubai for a month on Thursday, she comes back for a few weeks we then go to Dubai end Nov ish until end Jan so pointless having it now it would just sit in storage.
And the new one will be a 71 plate registered in 2022 so all good for resale later.
So overall a really bad experience hopefully should turn out fine.
Think next Monday i'm off on a NC500 run (subject to finding suitable tents).
Going to include a run around Skye as never been on there.

Re: New RV
Fair result I guess, just a shame you didn't get to use it..... My season consists of two parts, one when it's warm and Sammy wants to go off somewhere and the other when it's cold wet and windy, that's when I get to go on my own. Have fun on Skye Bob.

Re: New RV
Think i have enough storage on the Wing for a clean pair of undies.
If all goes to plan
Day 1 Blast up to KOL
2 tour Skye back to KOL
3 Applecross pass there and back then up to to Unapool ish or even Durness (gonna do the final plan today)
4 top end to JOG then down to Inverness
5 after brekkie blast home.
For me the whole thing is a bike ride, so what do you do on a bike ride???? i can look at the scenery as i go along.
Might stop for the odd photo and a cuppa. (can always put the photos on MHF as i cant get them on here)
