My purse is getting fuller!
I pay ‘contactless’ at the supermarket. The neighbours give me cash for their shopping. In reality, I’m not making money, but that cash will be my cake fund when we get out.
I like cake

Re: Lockdown point of view
I did 525 miles in the Nissan Frontier, delivering supplies (bog rolls, paper towels, bottled water, hand wipes, etc.) and hauling away half a ton (based on how much the back end of the truck is squatting) of rubbish (garbage burning pit detritus).bobsnicholson wrote: ↑Sun Apr 19, 2020 9:13 pm
I cheated again today and did about 12 miles in the Jag

I’m fed up of cancelled flights home. Not seen Ed since January
I’ve posted his birthday present for June.
I keep eating chocolate and other crap. . Did promise myself some new Kevlar jeans if I lose 2 more lbs, but now the scales are going the wrong way

As you will know it's very hot on the Costa's ATM. My mate was telling me a couple days ago it was 36c.
I can see the cost of flights getting very expensive in the near future.

I am getting rather fed up with eggs and lettuce, but at least it's cheap and good for me
I can't believe how hard it is to get what shopping I want. It's now a shorter wait to book a delivery but I still can't get flour and yeast. I've started making my own yeast as a neighbour managed to get me a bag of bread flour. This week is just the same but now no baking powder or soft brown sugar. How's a girl supposed to learn how to cook again?
I have, however, managed to find a highly recommended bike valeting service and I intend to treat myself and the bike by getting them round to have a go at the Street Triple. It's not dirty as I cleaned it properly before my last ride but it's been standing for four months now and it will be interesting to see how much better it can look. I find it hard to see close up to things and I still lose my balance if I lean forwards so I shall enjoy watching someone else doing it for a change.
Very busy out on the road today. I could hear lots of bikes. I half disapproved and half really wanted to be out there, too.

Re: Lockdown point of view
I managed to buy SR flour for the first time today.
Did read a while ago, why there was a shortage. Something about all the panic buying, and the mills not being able to increase productivity. (The machines can only fill one size flour bag, and people are buying them quicker than they can be produced.)
Apparently really big bags are available on line. You will need to do a lot of baking
Tried to buy compost today. That is now hard to get.
(Found some in the 4th shop I went to)
Was it essential?
If my 82 year old mother wants it, I’m getting it for her.
