I think he has done a decent job.
Never realised it's almost the same colour as the car.

Beautiful! I wish I was tall and rich. I'd buy it from you. I think I could learn to like top boxes if I owned that bike

Re: Paint job
For me a top box is a no brainer. Last week i went out a few times shopping on the bike. What a ball ache carting ones helmet and jacket about and trying to pick things off the shelf (no baskets or trolleys).
Top box is big enough to take a full face and my jacket so stroll about, shop with ease, job done.

Re: Paint job
I suppose I ought to try again sometime. I use a tail pack for shopping but it's not big enough to leave a helmet or jacket in. I have only had one bike with a top box fitted. That was my BMW 650 CS and I hated it. Once travelling at any speed approaching 60mph the bike started to shake and at 80 it developed a nasty weave and frightened me (yes, I know I shouldn't do over 80 with a top box on but other people seem to manage O.K). John took the box off after trying it for himself (It was all in my imagination until it did it to him ) and after that the bike was fine. It put me off and I've never fitted another one.
Re: Paint job
My F 800 GT is stable past the ton with a 52L Givi Trekker top box (largest I could find), and it causes no problems during gusting winds (reported to be up to 70 mph during a thunderstorm).Beelady wrote: ↑Sun Apr 28, 2019 7:02 pm I suppose I ought to try again sometime.
