Post by bobsnicholson »

Son in Dubai phoned and spoke to Shirley yesterday. He told her the new shopping mall opened a few days ago very close to them AND it has a Marks & Spencer's............Shirley has booked a ticket for 12 July to go and have a look.

It seems a long way to go to the shops. But M&S will be popular if they're going to close a lot of their shops in the UK. I have to go shopping occasionally. I begrudge using the fuel to travel 11 miles to get there.

You need a big top-box and panniers for the Stripple. :geek:

I don't have a top box but I can now use a tank bag, a tail pack, panniers and a rack. I've just ordered some Rok straps to make sure whatever's on the rack will stay there. I've had a trial packing and all my camping gear fits neatly without getting anywhere near those hot little under seat pipes, so a days shopping should be possible. :)

Ed wants to know when Shirley joins Real Housewives of Cheshire.

I said she was far too nice, and Bob was far too rich 🤣🤣

Ha ha, don't think Shirley has watched that....YET. She has struck up a good relation with our facing neighbour, who, we are told is well minted. She is spending £30,000 landscaping her back garden, solid Oak planters, posh paving stuff from Italy and all that stuff. They are going for a girls night out to "Blakemere" on a Prosseco promo night.
Google Blackmere and you will see it is not exactly "Batley Verity Club".
