You know what I've been up to and like you, I'm ready to move on and hope things get better soon.
I have managed a weekend away at shelsley walsh hill climb. (I think I was in Worcester) with my bike and tent, attending the Triumph Owners Club 75th Birthday celebrations.
A fabulous weekend, camping in a heritage apple orchard and seeing lots of friends, old and new and enjoying all the bikes. Food, music, a few drinkies on the Friday evening after arriving.
Paul was there so we had a good time catching up and I had a very nice breakfast on the way at the Super Sausage. I sent Keith a message as he's only along the road from there, but he was away.
My friend Christine's husband, Phil, led the way as we didn't want to get tangled up in a big ride out with the rest of our club branch. Coming home we detoured to see the outskirts of Oxford and had a much nicer ride home.
Weather was good and my little Bonneville was a joy to ride. I need to get something done with my suspension as it felt even better with a little more weight on the back. My new luggage worked well on it but I've ordered the next size up roll bag for the back seat, so I can take my bigger tent next time.
My next planned trip is to the Peak District for a few days. No tent this time! It's a Premier Inn for me. A rare treat.
The only fly in the ointment at the moment is the rest of the family trying to find a date that suits all of us for a celebration of Mother's life. A big send off party with music, art and hopefully all her friends and family there is planned. I wrote a list of dates that I'm supposed to be elsewhere and also for some of her closest friends and a few of the relations, which, apparently, nobody has read as it looks as if I may have to cancel the holiday.
Of course, I want to be there, but I've waited since 2019 to try and get my real life back. I'd be sorry to miss the trip away, but Mother's goodbye party is the most important thing at the moment.
At least my garden is coming along at the new house. One of my friends told me that it looked much more like my garden now. "Woolley round the edges" is how she described it. I liked that!
