Dom's Bike Stop

Post by Ninjachica »

What a pretty place
Shame the sun wasn't out

What a hilarious route to get there!
Wanted a left turn off a roundabout but road was closed. Took a different left lane further on, and ended up with a ridiculous combination of tiny lanes, partly closed roads, and a bunch of walkers doing 23 miles.
Evidently, they had shut the main road, but not anything that led back onto it. Chaos.

No diect route home, so took the scenic (narrow) route back 😆

Frustrating when they do that with road closures, but a bendy route home is usually lots of fun, as long as you're not in a hurry.

Yesterday a Dutch Mini owners (real Mini's. Not modern ones) group came down the lane, which was great. I enjoyed seeing all those lovely cars, but they ignored the road closed sign completely. So I got to see them all again, very soon after the last one went past.
The hole in the lane, where the road is indeed closed, is awfully big. There may even be a couple of Mini's still swimming at the bottom of it. I lost count. :)
