What fuel crisis

Post by Ninjachica »

FFS

Flew home on Friday. Went past Tesco and there was a tanker there.

Went shopping on Saturday (Tesco) and there was another tanker.

Went into town today… 3rd tanker

But the queues are crazy.
I normally leave the car full when I go away, but this time I hadn’t 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

No diesel at Tesco, but there was at Esso.
Was going to go out on the bike today, but only about 60 miles left in the tank, and I didn’t fancy sitting in a queue for ages.

It will all be back to normal by Tuesday 🤷‍♀️
If it ain't fun, don't do it

What I've noticed today is just how many drivers are driving really slow..... So slow I've seen two accidents and one close one..... plus some pretty erratic road positioning.... not sure if it's all related but today's journey was a bit fraught .... oh and not many open garages passed either...... the worlds gone mad.
Ok, I confess.......

I'm using my last few ounces of diesel for one big trip (11 miles each way) to do library, shopping, flu jab and garden centre (to collect a gift I won't be able to deliver without fuel) and that will be it until it's all over.
At the moment I walk to the garage in the village every day, just to take in the novelty of the madness, and then back to the wonderful peace and quiet, away from it all.
Missing my rides though. I had the Kawasaki out every day last week. Too uncomfortable to do many miles on, but better then no bike. That's empty, too. Maybe I'll wash it if the sun stays out.
