Mountains

Post by bobsnicholson »

Driving over the mountains today to go to the Al-Aqha Beach area.
Going for a 4 day break. Staying at The Al-Aqha Miramar Beach Hotel. Nice. Very quiet over on the East Coast. Love it. Like going back 50 years, nowhere near as developed as Dubai.
Place is just North of Fujeriah.
I warn you pics will follow

Looking forward to the photos.

I don’t remember which route we took returning to Muscat from Dubai, but some of it will probably be the same roads.

I would recommend a trip to the Middle East to anyone.
I did the Holy Land many years ago and that was amazing.

Beautiful. Location looks a bit like the Al Bustan in Oman 👍👍

Only 4 hotels in Al Aqha at the mo. The other 3 are typical concrete and stainless. This one is 2 3 floors max build in the old traditional style. Really is nice. Can only be 10% or less occupancy, shame but great for us, so peaceful and quiet which i love. I am not a crowd person at all.
Going into Khor Fakkan fishing village for a walk around. Been donkeys years since we walked around there, only 10/15 mins from here.
More pics will follow of here later.

Been to The Bustan in Muscat many times, lovely hotel but big eh.

Do they have camels and/or camel burgers there?

Lots and lots of camels, not seen any camel burgers on this side.

Have you lost weight, Bob? You're looking a bit underfed. Try ice cream. It'll sort that out in no time :)
