Jerk !

Post by Snev »

Went to a customer this morning, took a wrong turn down an horrendous lane which was absolutely caked in mud, grass and moss all backed up with masses of deep pot holes...... The low speed throttle response is just so Jerky, it was horrible so I got back home and Booked a reflash and Dyno run in a couple of weeks. Can't believe all these new Emmisions electronics....
Ok, I confess.......

So many bikes are like this now Bob....... it's all about Euro 4 and 5..... a little bit of Dyno work makes them well again.

For me, It started with the Yamaha FZ1 ....... in 2007 Sorry Ninja...... but it was horrible at the time, all Snatchy and Jerky, a great bike ruined by the Electronics, later improved though........ Then I got the MT09 which was terrible too apart from at full throttle...... virtually every bike I've ridden or tested since has the same thing going on......... A Reflash and Dyno time sorts it all out though. It's a few hundred quid well spent, in my opinion.

I bought a Street Triple. I couldn't bear to spend a lot of money on a bike and not be happy with the way it behaves. I'm far too mean to spend extra on such things :D

I'm a bit picky really....... just like things to be as good as they can be....... We are probably going to buy the Focus early next year, and It'll be getting some proper mods..... I'm thinking 450 BHP, which is very Doable. Should be fun in the twisty's !
Ok, I confess.......

We do the Business Lease thing.... It just works better for us and They tend to value them lower at the end of the contract, so i'll be seeing how much and making the decision then. It's only got 11000 miles on after two and a half years so It will be really low mileage and they are holding value really well. We might sell the business by then too so It'll be a nice Plaything.

Sold the ZZR1400 after 6 years on the Business and It actually made us money as It was classed as a Commercial Vehicle by the Inland Revenue so we could claim back the VAT, Mileage allowance and Depreciation. It's a no brainer really.
Ok, I confess.......
