Bike Cleaner

I have been using S-Doc bike cleaner. Spray on, pressure wash off, chammy. It's good it's simple and it's bloody expensive at about £5 per wash.
I see lot's of other stuff like Mukk Off but are they any good.
What do you few use??????
Not going back to sponge, fingers and hands wont take anymore lacerations.

On my infrequent bike cleaning, I usually start with a good scrub with parafin on the heavy gunge, then a more gentle going over with gunk, followed by muc off to get rid of the smell of gunk.

Would be great if someone could come up with self cleaning bike.

You can have it valeted Bob. There's some really good bike valets down here in the South. You must have them up there, too. That would count as self cleaning wouldn't it?

I use diluted Ecover washing up liquid as a degreaser (in a spray bottle) and Autoglym shampoo for washing it. Blow dry with the compressor and then polish it.

While I was shopping recently for new shampoo for the bike I looked in Halfords. They sell an own label wash and wax car shampoo that says you mustn't let any get into the drain. I queried how it should be used and left all the shop assistants very confused as they agreed that that's exactly what the label says. Not really very user friendly. I wonder what's in it that's so dangerous

I use muck-off.

Spray it on, go and fill up the bucket with hot water, and most of the muck has gone.

Quick going over with a big sponge and it’s done.

I do chammy after, then spray with acf 50.

Whole thing takes about 20 minutes.

All too much work.

That Halfords own brand i use on the cars, but it's a pressure clean, shampoo wash with a sponge, pressure wash to get rid of soap, chammy. Twice a year i polish.
ALL too much for a bike. Just remembered, i didn't use my pet blower today, forgot all about it.

The bike i like to spray on pressure off blow dry (when i can remember i have the blower) job done.
BUT what does the same job as the expensive stuff i am using cheaper???????

I never understand how people used a chamois to dry a bike off.

So that's a Chamois eh. The ones i use for the car and bike doesn't have horns

Those chamois are easy to handle, as long as someone else chases them off the mountain and gets them into a plastic bag, ready to use.

I now use a fake one as I started to feel bad about the real thing.

I would have said chase them off the mountain and get them in to a ruddy great cooking pot sod the cleaning
