So, mentioned in a another post, Mrs Bob is off on a 3 week jolly mid July. I have to take the opportunity to do/go somewhere..................of course it will be weather dependant if the bike is involved. So,
Bike,
1. Super sausage (never been so would be a good ride)
2. North Coast 500 (done it in the Porky by myself with the top down)
3. Week in Ireland touring.
4. Daily run out's exploring our new region.
5. Ride to Spain via Picos. Last time i did Spain on the bike was a disaster as i got Shingles.
Other
1. Go with Shirley to Dubai (temp is only 40c plus in July)
2. Go to Thailand and experience more of the culture
3. Do absolutely nowt and train to be a slob. (maybe a little gardening....if anything has grown)
4. CUBA
Any other weird and wonderful suggestion most welcome.

Re: What to do
I was just discussing another trip to the Supersausage with Phil this evening. He's thinking of changing his bike so we need some running in miles if he goes ahead. Sadly not likely to be in the next couple of weeks and we still need to arrange a farewell ride to Loomies, for John, so it's likely to be nearer the end of July by the time we get back to normal. I love the food at the supersausage. Well worth the long queue to order.

Re: What to do
NC, mentioned in another post, this Conrad thing is not for me.
Will do re shout WHEN i do the SS or Ponderosa.
As for Super Sausage, i think it's a must do, bit like Ace i did last year (or was it year before).
If i don't toddle off to some foreign land it would be a great opportunity to do a few haunts.
Loomies??????

Re: What to do
I'm trying to find a date when his two closest mates and my youngest son can all make it on the same day. I really hope it doesn't rain, when ever I manage to organise them all. We are having his ashes blessed on Sunday. John would probably be baffled by such a thing as he really didn't believe in anything at all, but it's for me and my boys and we're going to bury half the ashes by the door of his workshop, as that was where he was happiest and spent hours and hours working away, building engines and playing his music. The rest will come with me to Loomies and I'll be stopping on his favourite bendy bit of the A272 to scatter the rest. I'd like to scatter him in Loomies car park, but I suspect that's not really acceptable so it's the fast bends for him, which is all he could think of when we were planning everything together.

My and Wendys' sincere condolences , this is the first I knew about John . Nothing I can say that will make anything better so just count me +1 in for Loomies or wherever .

Re: What to do
So, I am thinking to stay in this wonderful country whilst Mrs Bob is away and have a ride about. Subject to weather i am looking at a no motorway run down to Loomies starting early am, overnight in Winchester (i think), up to Super Sausage after a walking tour of Winchester, up to Super Sausage for lunch, then back to Cheshire for a gallon of beer.
If a date is confirmed for Johns run i will work it around that, fingers crossed.
Bee, if it happens do you want me to bring you some proppa Bury Black Puddins
