New bike

Post by bobsnicholson »

Did about 40 miles on the PCX. That was a giggle. Wouldn't want to do more than say 100 miles with a few stops in a day.
Went to Honda Chester on it.
Saw a Honda SH125i in frost white. Looked nice so bought one. 4 to 6 weeks delivery.......he said, hahaha, so might get it for Christmas.
Anyone want to buy a PCX.

I guess the lack of power is a big part when it comes to distance, that's what I found with the Grom, Ok for short stuff but a bit laborious on longer rides..... is there much difference between the PCX and SH ?
Ok, I confess.......

Oh and i looked at the specs of the PCX 350 and It weighed the same as my MT09 which was a bit of a surprise, to be fair though, it did look like a good package especially for local and town work......
Ok, I confess.......

As for power there is almost nowt in it. The SH has very slightly more.
The SH is not as stylish as the PCX but is physically a larger bike yet only 5Kgs heavier.
It also has larger wheels so a bit more stable. It is a "step through" as apposed to a leg over And the most important thing is one can carry a box of beer on the platform whereas on the PCX it's not possible.

Always fancied a "twist and go" run-around , but then I don't use the bike I've got enough . :(

CC, you would use the scoot a hell of a lot more. Just make sure you use your full face helmet and a different jacket so you are not recognised. I do :D :D
In fact to be honest they can be fun even with only 12 BHP...................honest.

I still laugh about a scooter encounter in Spain.

About 5 or 6 of us... approach a roundabout... happens to be a scooter on it... with a dog on the back, leaning as it goes around.
We happen to take the wrong exit, so go around again and pass said scooter, which also has 2 dogs on the footplate.
Brilliant
If it ain't fun, don't do it
