Used to go to Cheddar back int 70's, could find a corner to stick a few bikes without being ripped off for parking. Buy a couple of gallons of cider, then sleep it off in a pile of rocks, youngsters!?
Did you go in the caves (they don't like it if you touch the water) and climb Jacob's ladder.

My likkle run today, Mobberley to find the best pub in Cheshire (they say), just to look for future reference, then Knutsford for a little walk around, then onto Arley Hall (you are going to have to google that one.

BTW, not knowingly have i been to/through the Cheddar Gorge.

Nice route but You have to visit the Caves at Cheddar and Climb Jacobs Ladder to appreciate the Views. North Devon Exmoor and the Coast Is simply Stunning and well worth spending time exploring in detail, I'd be happy to take you on a little Trip next time you decide to visit. Clovelly I stopped going there Years ago when they Built the Visitor centre at Considerable cost and then introduced a hefty Entrance fee.... What Is It Now ?

We would have stopped longer at the Gorge to do a bit of exploring but the Parking Gestapo were on the prowl with tickets flying everywhere , so to quote someone else - fuck 'em , fuck 'em all . and we left .
As per usual the present wife was in charge of my wallet when we got to Clovelly but I believe it was around £7:50 per adult.
Also planned to to visit the Eden Project , so drove into the car-park , walked to the entrance , saw the price , turned round and went back to the bikes and rode to Bodmin . £28:00 per adult to see some plants , fuck 'em all again !

Eden was expensive when I went a couple of years back and I queued for bloody ages, there's lots to see when inside but I found it hard work and the tropical and desert areas were too hot and humid for my breathing...…. probably won't return.

Mrs Bob leaves me for almost 3 weeks next Tuesday, sooooo, i was thinking of doing a European tour in the car, BUT, decided against it and staying home, therefore i am thinking a few days somewhere here in UK on my bike. Some will remember i went down Devon and Cornwall last year and i simply loved it, should i go again, OR, should i do the North 500???? erm, last time i did it i was in the car (lid down). Think it would be a good run on the bike over 4/5 day's..........what to do.

PS, the pasties i brought back from Bos/come/castle??? were crap.
