Those of us in Council Tax bands A,B,C and D are going to get £150 rebate to help pay for increased fuel costs............ as always, the rest of us can go fuck ourselves.............. sorry but it gets a bit annoying being one who tries hard to be self supporting at times..................

I have heard a rumour about this locally.

I have not recieved a letter, but am really enjoying the entries on the local FBook page where they seem to have missed the fact that not everyone will be getting this.

So in the spirit of being your good friend I can share the secret of getting a positive outcome.

I quote " just ring them up, Hun. They must of forgotten yours" (you have to say "of" uvverwise it won't work)

And then you can be outraged because the council tell them they're not entitiled to it and that's why they haven't had a letter.
This is because your friends ALL know more about it than your council.

See? Easy, innit? No, no. It's no trouble. You can thank me later

LOL........ Bee, I'm not really begrudging others less fortunate this help but sometimes I just think I was born the wrong side of the fence......... We live in a nice house and have nice things because we realised that the only way to have them was to work hard........... and self employment was the way to go....... but bugger me we could have just sat back and not bothered at all because the Government are so kind................. If i look out my Window now, I can see various Council homes having new Roofs.... a couple of years back, they all had new Fences, Sheds, Thermal cladding, Double glazing, and full internal Refurbs.........The biggest employer in town is the Housing Association..... the most sign written Vehicles are also of that Housing association..... They are working on many houses all over the town, they can be on a particular site for months on end gutting and re fitting stuff that the previous occupants wrecked...... We have 3 nearby Homes that should be worth Millions by now with all the money spent over the years........ On top of that, those 3 homes seem to have the Dreggs of life and what i can only describe as night Dwellers as every night they seem to wake and want to make as much noise as possible................... Maybe i should have just stayed homeless !!!!

What about us poor pensioners.
Our house is band F so my carer tells me. And we get nowt apart from the Airconditioning Allowance in the winter whilst in Dubai.

Not soon enough, as I should have been entitled to it six years ago, but nobody ever said life was fair.
I also note that I have to apply for it. You are no longer given it automatically. I also note that it's paid a month in arrears!
