currently sat in the MH with no heating and it's -3... brrrrrrr....... off litter picking on portland tommorow and it's going to be wet and windy, just how i like it. Classic bike show in two weeks, might camp there too.

It's surprisingly cold today, but I feel winter has been very kind to me, so far. As I'm economising at the moment turning the heating on entails serious thought.
Not sure how up to date you are with my house selling saga, but last week was a real roller coaster. Monday, it was under offer, from two different buyers. I chose the one with cash who didn't want a survey if it meant they could get ahead of the other offer. Yay! I had coffee in the shed with the bikes and told them where they're both going to be mended.
Wednesday, it was all off again. My buyers were let down but begged me to give them a week. Of course I said Yes (no survey carries a lot of weight with me) and sure enough, by Wednesday they've found another buyer, so here I am today, wondering what's coming next.
I'm not going to tell the bikes anything else. I hate getting their hopes up.

And I have booked the MOT on the car. Good news there. As long as it doesn't need too much work to get it through I've bartered the job in exchange for helping out during the proposed move of the business to their new workshop.
All I have to do is 'phone minding and other non-strenuous jobs. A bit of luck for a change!

Enjoy your frozen motor home and well done on the rubbish picking. I often take a bag on my walks and pick up rubbish.

I'm only really up dated when you type on here Bee.... It all sounds like hard work to me..... I hear many horrific tales from my customers about house moving, It's all just a total rollercoaster ride by all accounts..... Moving house for us is just a matter of filling the water tank, fridge and Diesel and making sure we have enough Booze for the weekend !!!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and hope to be invited to the House warming !!!!! After my last trip to Portland, I decided to buy a Litter Picker and lots of bin bags so that I can help keep the places I enjoy visiting Tidy..... rather than just moan about those ignorant folk and walking on by...... It's going to be an interesting trip as i will be inspecting the underground tunnels and rooms of the High Angle Gun emplacements..... This time i'll be taking my Torch so I can see all the crap before stepping in or on it !!!! apparently, the locals tell tales of ghosts and strange happenings so a torch is always handy.

My dad used to do a 5k walk out of the village, around and back in the other end. He took a litter picker and a bag. Everyone knew him and loved him for doing it.

I filled one large bin bag but could have filled 20..... the old gun tunnels were horrible but I managed to clean up all of the above ground areas....

It's great seeing people doing this... It's something I've noticed more and more.... one really early morning at Calshot I saw an older lady picking stuff up with a litter picker and felt a bit guilty that i had not done the same so now I'll be doing this on every wild camping trip, it doesn't take much but does make a difference......

I litter pick when I walk and I often see my neighbors doing the same thing. Even in the middle of nowhere we get lots of rubbish and also very popular with fly tippers, which is really horrible.
Last year someone dumped three sacks of dead lambs in one of the dykes. This year, so far, it's only been a double mattress and a few piles of builders rubble.
I wonder if any of those who dump it ever see anything they think is beautiful. They must lead very poor, sad lives if they think it's acceptable.

Anyway. House selling seems to be going O.K at the moment. I've neve had any problem selling houses in the past and I thought of all the places I've lived, this would be the easiest. It just shows how much I know!
The thought of being able to one day get back on my lovely Triumph is really keeping me going. Aparently normal people usually think buying another house is most important. Not me though. I have my priorities right!

I'd struggle getting a Matress in my sack ........luckily it's mainly cans and bottles mostly but there are a few horrible things that i either leave or pick up very carefully....... we live at the end of a 5 house cul de sack ..... we are at the eastern end so all debris tends to collect in our part......nI'm forever picking up rubbish that settles here...... selling houses just sucks........
