Shoelace save........
Shoelace save........
Managed to unhook the lace from the gear change just in time to save the whole bike falling over into the path of the car coming up fast from behind............. not for the first time over the years........
Ok, I confess.......

Ha.... I bet you've done the 'Foot Slipping on Gravel" thing when maneuvering too...... Nearly dropped my ZZR on the first ride !
Ok, I confess.......
Re: Shoelace save........
I avoid stopping on gravel whenever possible. Riding on it's fine. It's when you have to put a toe down that the trouble starts
I have just had to buy a pair of boots with laces as tiny size bike boots with bendy ankles are hard to find and this is hopefully temporary, while I search for a proper pair.
No doubt I shall join you all shortly in the the shoelace topple over challenge.

ha ha..... I tend to wear Walking Boots, hence the laces.... Another trick I am trying to perfect is how to look cool and unflustered whilst accidentally hitting the Gearshift whilst putting down the side stand.... I tend to forget which bike i'm on.... that also goes for the Indicator/Horn buttons..... Had a recent double fail on the Z900 outside the local Co-Op with about 10 young girls and boys watching me pull up..... Beep, Clunk, Save....
Ok, I confess.......

Gravel!
Saw enough of it in scottyland.
Nearly every place we stopped seemed to have it.
The last place, at Gretna, it was so deep, Jess had to pull me out before we dared to load back up!

If it ain't fun, don't do it

They’ve just done the road out of our village

Re: Shoelace save........
On Wednesdays, I have to pick up the Mother-in-laws shopping list... they live in a Village @ 6 miles away with a really nasty bumpy road surface..... @ 7 weeks ago it was Scrapped which made it even worse due to the pot holes, tram lines, ridges, loose stones and raised manhole covers..... On Monday they surface dressed it and I could barely see through all the dust ...... had to pick a careful line between the piles of stones too.
Ok, I confess.......
