This Weekend......
This Weekend......
It's another Calshot visit ..... no powered two wheels other than the Battery Bike...... got Friday and Saturday evenings plus the Days too....... much dangling of tackle and Daisy to accompany me ......... hope to catch a fish or 6 and maybe a few wayward women...... worse things happen at sea !!!!
Ok, I confess.......
Re: This Weekend......
I hope you're enjoying the adventure.
I'mjust going for a ride. Nowhere in particualr planned, just get on and go.
Kawasaki today as the Striple is covered up, waiting to go to a show on Sunday. washed but not yet polished for the occasion.
Apparently there's a food fair on at the same time. I shan't go hungry
The surveyor came this morning. He was a bit dim. This house is hundreds of years old and he asked me if I knew it had a damp patch
I resisted the longing to say "no shit, Sherlock"
I deserve a ride out after dealing with that. Cake and coffee, too.

Re: This Weekend......
Oh and on the House front...... I recently planned a rather tricky Kitchen in an old house that was to have a few walls knocked down ...... spent ages measuring and finding all the issues that might be found, I even questioned the whole Listed building issues and after being assured all was fine, we ordered everything and waited for the call...... this morning the customer emailed to say that no walls could come down or alterations made......... anyone want a kitchen ?
Ok, I confess.......

I'm after a new kitchen Nev ; but with the speed of progress on our extension ; I should be ready for it in about five years .
It wasn't my fault , I was left unsupervised !

What is the matter with people? Surely they should know about their own house.
I wonder what my next house will be like. I may pick your brains one day, Nev. I have the perfect kitchen at the moment, but I spent years imagining and planning it. I'm not entirely confident about changing a place I haven't lived in long.
Surveyor came yesterday, so no doubt I'll be on the reciving end of a reduced offer any minute now. Bad luck buyers. They've already knocked me down as far as I'm willing to go. They can buy somewhere else and I'll stay another winter. I won't be backing down.

Exactly Bee but she was told by her builder that it could be done....... I used to work in Kent quite a bit, trying to put right bad workmanship that had been carried out by the local Magnet kitchen Cowboys.... Visited quite a few towns and seaside areas, would love to go back.... spent an evening in a guest house overlooking Ramsgate Harbour which was a bit surreal due to being laid in bed looking out of a floor to ceiling Window on a barmy summer night... listening to all the harbour noises..... lovely it was.
Ok, I confess.......
