Went to our local leisure centre today, to see about swimming.

I had to download an app , register, and book a lane (12 people allowed in a lane)

Blimey. I haven’t swum for ages. I didn’t know whether to book a fast or medium lane.
I don’t do freestyle, so probably not the fast lane, but my breastroke is faster than most.
This will be interesting!

12 people in a lane! I wouldn't even get in the water! Scary.

I was rather spoilt during the years when I had to go to the pool every day for hydrotherapy. I was always given my own space to exercise and swim a few lengths between sets.
At the time it was a drag, having to go every single day after work. The last thing I really wanted to do, but I'd love to be able to do just a couple of sessions a week. It really is so good for you to swim.

Maybe once I've decided where to move to there'll be somewhere I can go. Several beach pools in the area so maybe I'll become one of those shrivelled old people who swim all year round in icy water.

Turns out it was 12 people on 2 lanes

I got there a few minutes early so plenty of room.
Determined to do 20 lengths without stopping, but my knee wasn’t happy after 8!

To my surprise, muscle memory kicked in around 20, and I managed 32 non stop.

I probably won’t be able to move tomorrow, but I’ll be at it again on Thursday

Go about mid night when it's closed, all other times it's mobbed.
We were there just last Friday on way home from a few days in Woodstock. It was 9am, the shop don't open til 9.30am and the cars and people were in there 1,000s.
We took the picture jumped back in the car and headed North.

Friend of mine went to buy some bee juice.
Ended up spending £67 on bee juice and other crap
