Bleddy failed

Post by Ninjachica »

Ed’s bike has failed it’s first mot. 😮

He got Suzuki to hardwire lights to the engine bars. Apparently they aren’t legal. 🤦🏻‍♀️

They are givi lights and the shop can’t get a conformity certificate for them. If they were LED they would be ok.

So now he is back at the shop, with 2 options:
Rip the lot out (and say goodbye to €€€)
See if they can get replacement lights

He’s not happy.
He would have ripped them out himself if he could have.

He’s back.

New LED lights €350+
Declaration of change to bike €1,000

So... lights removed.

He’s been back to the mot station, and the chap that failed him yesterday came straight over and sorted out the paperwork, and gave him his sacred sticker.

All legal now.

Spain ? .... My MT failed on an Integral brake light/Indicator unit that I fitted so had to get all new Indicators, still they do actually look better.
Ok, I confess.......

Went back to Elche to get Ed a new helmet today.

Alfonso asked if he wanted the lights put back on, now that he has his mot.
They did it while we were in the clothing part. No charge.

(Mind you, his helmet and gloves weren’t cheap!)
