What's going down in the Hood ?!!!!

Post by Snev »

Hello, What you all up to then ? We're doing a sneaky overnight in the MH this Sat, then off to Northampton for a long weekend and hopefully a fair bit of Biking soon too..... Focus is going back to the Lease company tomorrow and Sammy will be driving our Sons punto until she tells me to get her a decent car ! Trying to stay Tea Total at the moment, it's nearly 8 weeks now and only 3 weak moments so far.... That's about it ... just thought I'd add something here as It's all a bit quiet again.
Ok, I confess.......

We booked to have another go at getting home. 12th is D day. Then of course 11 days in prison. Think, not sure we are going to be jailed at The Holiday Inn Heathrow M4. Really looking forward to it..................NOT.
But at least we will be home b4 the 3rd wave/lockdown starts. :-p

Nev, did you drain your water off in the boiler in the MH prior to the cold spell?? I didn't so concerned i may have issues when i fire it up again.

Didn't put a charger in the Wing when we left as i thought we were only going for 2 months, it will be 4 months by the time they release us so thinking the battery maybe flat.

I am now please i SORNed all the vehicles except the Caddy van (son has been using it). Save meself a shilling or 2.

Gonna change the M5 soon after getting back. Not saying for what other than it WILL be a convertible of some type.

I don't think you are missing much in the UK mate, reckon it'll all go crazy from next Monday, all the people who have done what they were told, will surely be out with a vengeance whilst all the ones who didn't abide will just be out feeling justified !!!! ...... To be honest, I've had the heater on virtually all of the Winter, plugged in to the mains.... and I'm just so glad we bought it as it has given us a refuge from being locked up inside the house with both our Kids working from home. The house just feels too small with 4 adults.... I've been chief Bottle washer and Laundry person mostly.... so bored of the routine now but it looks like September before the kids get back to work. Our Son has taken over the kitchen with his Gym equipment and our daughter has become nocturnal .... not good for the stress levels !!!
I'll be interested to know what car you will get..... reckon your Wing Battery might still be ok ....... My Z900 has a serious misfire after a full tank of fuel and the MT09 has a battery problem so It's the Grom mostly now.
Ok, I confess.......

Brid, hope you are recovering ok. Spose if it had to happen better now than on your NC500 run. Did you cry :D

Nev, i look in here just about every day. Most days nowt to answer to. It's almost like a private members club of 3.
Piglet has not posted anything for awhile. Shame really as i think it could be a good forum.
Anyway you will always get a response from me.............hope that don't put you off :D

morning you two ! Ninja, that must have been painful, I don't know much about it, what happened ? I look in here quite often too in the hope that a few more might be joining in as well but it is always quiet. Got fed up with FB as I got bombarded with random stuff which just made me want to comment and then I realised that it was just winding me up so I decided to leave. And The forum was a bit quiet after Paul Spencer Blocked me so that I couldn't see anything he wrote apart from when he popped up with the odd sarky post ! so I've got off there too.

I still do that MH forum. It's bloody big, 1,000s of members. A few have been baiting me, you know the smart arses. The Lawyers, Pilot's and supposedly clever dicks. Really annoys them when i don't bite. Some good reads on it though.
There's even a motorbike section which i always look in on.

Get well soon! That sounds horrible. Hospital without friends or family is really difficult. Glad you're home. Try and be a good patient. it'll pay off in the long run.
