Good on You.
I would dearly love to do it on a bike.
Doubt if i could do it in June/July. Highly probable we will be in the MoHo somewhere in Europe then.
Have you researched when the midgies are at their peak?
A truly special run and one that just has to be done on a bike.
As you know, cause i've bleated on about it enough times, i did it in the Porsche Convertible, the lid down most of the time, simply spectacular.
I've done most of it but I really want to do the Ullapool to Durness bit...... Had to drive to Ullapool 3 times in 4 weeks once, to fit a kitchen.... It had been designed wrong and it took 3 attempts for the "Designer' to get it right. It's a fair distance from Yeovil, one trip was 16 hours of driving with heavy snow once we hit Inverness. Beautiful area.
Make sure you have mozzy nets and spray. And the talk is its going to be mega busy. Wouldn't have thought much of an issue on a bike, but a lot of idiot RV and Tuggers will be out and about (no not me)
