So, as mentioned i was at Oulton Park today to watch BTCC and the support races, Cleo's, Porsches, F4, and Senior Genetta's.
Oulton is in the country and to get to it are small country lanes.
Miles of poor sod's in car's stopped or moving very slowly.
On the bike straight down the oncoming lane, no probs, there in 10 mins.
Coming home same, from leaving the park i had 3 bikes behind me, they followed, same again, outside oncoming lane (no traffic coming other way). All the way to the A49 upto A556. Now free of traffic. Stopped at lights to turn right. One of the following bikes pulled up along side and said "thanks mate, we would never have done that". Some riders are very timid.
It felt good.

Re: Oulton Park
I'm with you on that.
Why sit in a queue of traffic, if there is nothing coming the other way.
Was a bit wary once, leaving Brands, as there were solid white lines. Police biker was behind me. Then he crossed them, and set off. I followed him quite happily. One by one, other bikers we passed tagged on behind. He was like the Pied Piper! I was quite sad when he finally pulled up to join some other boys in blue, but we were pretty near the motorway by then.
It's nice around Oulton Park this time of year - not so funny in autumn, when the leaves are on the ground.
