Test results today.

Post by Beelady »

Back to hospital today, for the results. It could have been a lot worse.

No cancer at the moment so it seems the operation was well worth having done. Happy me! There are still signs that something is going on, but whatever it is, its not showing up on any of the scans or under the microscope yet.
I have 6 months before any more tests will be done and there's no point in having chemo. for something that can't be targeted, so I'm going to get on with trying to recover from the January disaster.

I will be making a new bucket list (did the big one back in 2013, last time the nasty C word raised it's ugly head). This will mostly be riding and visiting, so the sooner the stupid virus gets out of my way, the better.

Things to do, places to go, people to see. That saying's never been so apt before :)

That’s really good news 👍👍

Such a shame I couldn’t get down to see you in May as planned.

Let us all see your bucket list, and maybe we can add to it 😆

I'd love to, but the TT hall has been sold and the new owners don't want us back :'-( Such a shame. It was wonderful, knowing my bike was safely locked up in the indoor compound with 24 hour security for us all. The hall is so big that security ride round on a bicycle.
Most of all I miss the feeling I used to get, riding round the back of the hall and in through the entrance. Always the start of the best weekend of the year. Meeting people I hadn't seen since last year, getting the tent up and rushing onto the circuit to watch a couple of hours of free practice before heading into town on the bus for an evening of singing, dancing, watching bikes and eating. Brilliant atmosphere, every year.
I always had to queue for the frozen yogurt shop before heading back on the bus and catching up with friends who'd arrived while we were in town. Such fun.

And the racing was always quite good, too. :D
