Having a closer look at the location of the site we have chosen i see what you mean re English Riviera.
No prob though as all our touring will be north of the site, so we will see some of Devon.
What clinched it was Enterprise will deliver car hire to the site. Suits us fine.

Saw a MH towing an MGBGT yesterday..... Thought of you...... The E type would be perfect for cruising around the Devon Countryside.....

Would love to BUT, and there's always a BUT, the towing capacity of our van is 1250 Kgs, the Jag is considerably more. Think the MG would have been on that vans limit if it was a 3.5 capacity. Of course the bigger the van the bigger the car you can tow..................mmm thing i should start looking now, like the idea of towing the Jaaarrrg.

Ours can Tow up to 1600 KG's according to the Hand Book..... Not sure about going bigger but I absolutely love the Ton Tiki Tag Axle..... think It's 9 Metres which would cause a problem If parked on our drive, not to mention just actually driving it around.
