Strange

Post by bobsnicholson »

We have been looking for a Motor Home (RV) and parking of for several weeks now.
What has become apparent is this line of holiday's/leisure has taken off in a big way in the last month's.
We cannot find a parking spot anywhere within a 15 miles radi (we don't have space at ours).
Very limited new stock and new special orders are 12 months delivery ish. Existing used stock are mostly of a configuration we don't want.
It's the same with caravans.
So in the future there are going to be a lot more effing caravans and RVs on the road slowing everything up.
If you get close up to a RV with the words, "I don't give a f--k" on the back it will be us. :D

Isn’t there a farmer nearby that will have it?

If cost isn't an issue I believe the Camping and Caravan club will keep them in a locked compound on a site near you.

I only say this because I camped on a posh site twice last year and could see staff cleaning caravans and campers and bringing them out to be collected by their owners.
I was hoping to find out about boat storage but they don't do that anywhere near Poole.

Locally there's a site behind our local service station. No idea how secure private places are but I see it has big electric gates.
Maybe worth a ride round locally and see if you can spot somewhere hidden away. Maybe look on Google satellite view and see if anything looks like a caravan storage place?

I’ve got a big garden (in Spain), but you’d never get it down the lane 😆

We have contacted most of the storage places, caravan sites, some farms etc etc. Since my post we have had 2 possibles. We are going to look tomorrow.
Personally i think the RV/caravan lark is going to grow here, for lot's of reasons.
As ya'll know we have RVeed a lot over the years, we know what it's all about so we are not going in blind.
