Bad Times

Post by CantCorner »

In the last fortnight , a good friend of mine has succumbed to cancer after only being diagnosed in March . A work colleague had a heart attack and died on the way to work a week last Monday , not allowed to attend either funeral due to Covid restrictions . (limited to 10 people in Wales)
To top it off my brother collided with a tractor whilst out cycling last week on narrow country lanes and is currently in hospital and no visitors permitted . Broken arm , shoulder, nose , jaw and lower spine injury and facial re-construction when the swelling goes down .

They say bad things happen in three's , hopefully this is it for now.
It wasn't my fault , I was left unsupervised !

Blimey. We all complain but don't realise how well off we are compared to others.
At least the pubs are open now to cheer them off or to get better.

Out on the bike today near Buxton. Twat in a car came straight out of a side road. It was close, good job i'm expecting this sort of thing all the time or i could have been in the bed next to your brother.
Trust he gets well soon.
Work is for people that can't play golf.

How awful CC

It’s horrible not being able to meet with people you care about, nor say goodbye to them.

I’ve spoken to Rach many times, but can’t go and give her a hug. My mum has had to cancel a long planned visit to hers sisters (and my oldest brother) in Germany.

I fear it will be some time before we go back to normal.

We are all enduring the same storm, but in different boats.

That's just too much, all at once. I do feel for you both.

I hope visiting will be allowed soon for you. Hospital staff are so brilliant but it's not the same without your family and friends being there for you.

I can't imagine how I would have managed without my boys by my side when I was so poorly. I think I would have got better without them but they made life so much easier and I was really set on working hard to get better, just to see them smile when they arrived every day.

I hope we all get to see every one we love soon. I've missed my family so much.
