Sat Nav

Post by bobsnicholson »

Mate came to sort the Nav out. Meaning getting the sound to come into my helmet.
He knows his stuff. He sorted my RT. But I still couldn't work it, not his fault. Case of pressing right buttons in right order. I couldn't. So silence all the way. Ended up just not bothering.
2 n arf hours later everything appeared to be sorted, blueteeth, paired to phone, paired to helmet, paired to system blah blah blah, but the sound would not come through to the helmet.
My mate went away scratching his head (getting splinters).
So for the time being it's a case of having the speakers on the bike do the job (when i want or need verbals)

Why oh why in 2020 do the geeks have to make it so effing hard to do something like this. Surely if they are that smart they would/could make it easy for a NORMAL :-p person.
Then again if they did they wouldn't look so smart and command their big bucks salary's eh.

Ha ha. Pete my mate is classed as our 3rd son. He happens to know a bit about this stuff......and he's cheap and he's local (ish). I call on him occasionally. As stated he did sort the RT, just me i didn't how to press the buttons in the right order. Think it's going the same way with this one. Hey Ho at least the bikes comfy and i have the visuals.

Bob, have you ever heard of ‘Bikerpics’?

They advertise then sit at well known spots and take photos of everything that goes past.

There was an awesome Photo of a red goldwing near the Cat & Fiddle last week, but I figured it couldn’t have been you, as it was the weekend!

Erm, interesting. I did pass the Cat & Fiddle a couple of times last week. Can't remember what day's.
There is a company that does the same sort of thing on the Stelvio Pass. We bought a couple of great pics of us going round a bend in our Porky.

That got replaced by a red FJR1300. From three days ago:
