1st run

Post by bobsnicholson »

So, sun shining, blue sky, dry road and about 6c so thought should I.

Common sense failed me and I went out on the bike. For the first 5 miles or so I kept saying to myself turn back you fool.
20 miles or so later I arrived at J&S for a cuppa. Surprised just how many other nutters were out on their bikes (and most didn't have heated grips/and or heated seats like me.

Got back home and tried to assess if I enjoyed it, answer, don't know. Need to go out again for a 2nd assessment.

If I do continue for another couple of years I think the RT will need to go up the road.

I do miss a reverse gear on a bike, AND if I did continue the next bike would have to be Automatic...…..so narrow it down to A...………….???????!!!!! :D :D

150 miles today and a great run.
However, what transpired today was my dicky hips and hand joints that don't work so well. Putting feet/legs down is ok, lifting them back up onto the pegs is an issue.
Bike has pro/quick shift thing so i am using as much as poss as joints in my hands are f----d
So, all part of my evaluation. But i really did enjoy the run today.........and i got a couple of lovely Pork Pies from Ludlow :D

I love pork pies

I have a few adaptations on the Striple to help with poorly joints and lack of strength. John did them for me but I also had plenty of help and advice from the NABD. I would have liked the same done to the Kawasaki so I didn't have to limit the mileage I can do on it, but it's good fun, despite the niggles.

This ‘getting old’ lark isn’t much fun. 😕

I’ve had issues with my left knee for a while. Will delay a replacement for as long as I can.
I know hip replacement is probably on the horizon too😕

In the meantime, I’ll just carry on randomly half-collapsing, and saying‘I’m fine’ 😆😆😆🙄
