I trust we are all watching and supporting our Sam Sunderland in this years Dakar.
Currently in 1st place after stage 2.
The Dakar is so close to me this year i can almost see the dust.
If it's in Saudia next year i may go and have a look see..............of course i'll take my own beer and a head butting the ground prayer mat....................NOT.

Of course, the House of Sand and Fraud may not be around by next year (the UAE leaders are smarter and now making nice with the Houthis and Iran).
From those who have dealt with them, the real goal of the UAE leadership is to turn the country into a combination of the Riviera where European tourists escape from winter and an international trading center similar to Singapore.

Yes a long time entrant. They all know the risks and this can and does happen.
It's the one event each year i follow very closely AND one of the biggest regrets i could have but never did one.
