Ha, it's great eh.
Before we left UK our total contribution to Xmas decorations was a £3.50 dangly thing you put on the front door.
I have not yet bought a card or any presents for anybody. Shirl has put a Xmas card in 3 neighbours (don't like the other 2 so they got nowt), the rest she is going to do online.
We did go to the village Xmas thing, saw the fat bloke in a red suite and listened to a brass band, Spent a total of £3 on a mold wine for madam......me...nowt.

Arrived at the apartment bout 9.30pm. Lot's of blue lights at the signals nearby, turns out a 25 degree curry house delivery motorbike guy had been knocked off his bike. What a waste of a good curry.

Arrived Dubai at 8.30pm, disappointed as it was only 27c

Probably said before that I don't do Christmas and this year is no exception . We'll be having my father and sister-in-law round for a glorified Sunday dinner and that will be it !
Proper Bah-Humbug .
It wasn't my fault , I was left unsupervised !

I’m totally done!
Everything wrapped and ready.

Just need to buy some pigs in blankets when I get to Spain!

Total spend this year around £300.

If it wasn't for Shirley nobody would get anything.

When we are here for Christmas dinner we go out and meet up with family (all the Bulgarians are here this year on account of the baby)

Hotel of choice this year Ibn=Battuta. I think £120 each all food and booze you can eat/drink 12-6pm

I'm not quite ready to throw myself into Christmas this year. I love the food and going to the different bike club Christmas get togethers but John and I used to buy each other bike parts and spend the day in the shed with pauses for food. Our main day was boxing day which is always a big family bash over on the farm, usually around thirty people including the French side of the family and anyone we know who doesn't have anywhere else to go. I love this because I get to cook loads of fancy stuff, which I really enjoy. That will be the same this year. Always chaos but great fun and Harriett is the centre of attention as the youngest. She's two, so quite capable of being in charge of the entire gathering.

I haven't felt like decorating or inviting anyone in this year but I'll go to church on the day, to see my lovely neighbours (who will only come and look for me if I don't, bless them all) and as it's a tiny, freezing cold country church and we'll all be in wellies and warmest coats it's actually rather nice and real and non-commercial. You don't have to believe to feel something rather calm and special and it's not a bad time to reflect on how lucky I am. Then a nice Christmas dinner with my youngest and his family, so I get Harriet all to myself if I can persuade them to clear off for a walk and leave Nanny in charge.

And my special day comes sooner then Christmas. The shortest day is nearly here!!!!! That's something to celebrate and I have Prosecco ready. Yummy!
