I'm sick of waiting for the Striple to let me down again. The test meter tells me that everything's fine, all is working perfectly and there's nothing to worry about, yet I still feel something's not right.
This just won't do, so tomorrow morning I'm setting off on an adventure with it. First stop will be lunch at Loomies and I'll need to fill up at the petrol station next door. Then off to Verwood, camping for a few days and trying to learn a bit about boating. So far I have learnt that I should expect to be wet and cold, so I am carrying rather a lot of clothes with me on this trip.
I love a good, long ride and if the bike behaves and gets me home again I may start to believe I can trust it again. I have checked my breakdown cover is up to date, just in case.
Wish me luck.....

It can’t possibly be as wet as last time we were there

If it ain't fun, don't do it

Fingers crossed for your test ride, the bikes got a lota making up to do, you'll soon love it again, I know it's hard to get confidence back after a few let downs,

Not fun to push a bike for more than a couple of miles.

Re: A test forthe Street Triple.
I can't push the bike at all as it's much stronger then I am, but there was no need! It behaved perfectly, the sun came out and I managed to find my way there with only a couple of short detours.
Had a lovely holiday, including a very exciting day on Poole harbour in rough weather and a very relaxed day in beautiful sunshine. I think I like boats!
And then another long ride home, but I got seriously lost and a bit tired in the end. I have never been so excited to see a motorway. I had planned to stay off them but I was ready to stop after 5 hours without a break. I had to fill up with fuel a couple of times but that was the only time I stopped.
So, of course, now I have to keep the bike. I have booked it in for it's 24,000 service (better late then never) new headstock bearings and front pads and hopefully a shiny, new MOT, early next month. It deserves a reward for being good

If only I could!

Since my new phone uses USB-A to USB-C connectors, I now have extra USB-A to USB-Mini connectors if you need one to download photos off the camera.

I have the right cable but I'm confident that getting an MOT will be much easier then posting picture on here
