New Forest. Camping.

Post by Beelady »

I'm going to try and book a few spaces on Ashurst campsite for Friday, Saturday and Sunday (13th - 15th September) if anyone wants to come along.

At the moment it seems to be Keith, oldish, sat nav steve and possibly Nev. I'm going to ask Phil Read if he'd like to come along as well. I'll be giving the site a ring on Tuesday or Wednesday so if any of you want to come along I can add you to the list.

Nice campsite with shops and a very nice pub close enough to walk to and nice, clean facilities on site. Real ponies wandering about and in a big clearing in the forest, so pretty nice surroundings, too. BBQ's can be hired on site if anyone fancies such things.

I know you don't camp, Bob, but I think Steve's coming in a car so you could sleep in yours if you don't want the bother of putting up a tent. Go on! Give it a go. It might be fun :D

Ha ha, sounds wonderful but unless you can confirm butler service and 24 hours concierge and room service i think i'll pass.

Actually i think i have mentioned that weekend we are at Goodwood Revial from Thursday evening until Monday morning.........in a MOTORHOME....................with a toilet and a micro wave. :D

Have fun anyway and say hi from me to all who turn up.
Work is for people that can't play golf.

I wouldn't be surprised if I end up hiding in my tent by myself :D But I won't mind. It's a lovely place to be and some pretty rides, plus I have friends not far away that I can visit if I get bored.

I've had so many weekends away with racing and rallies that my house sitters list is getting hard to manage. Some of them keep asking me to go away so they can stay here for weekends. Maybe I'd better set up a visitors book for next year

Usually I'd be all over this Bear Grylls stuff but unfortunately I'll be sunning myself in St. Tropez on my annual bike tour abroad .
It's a tough life . 8-) :D :D
It wasn't my fault , I was left unsupervised !
