On my BM cage , if the tyre pressures get low , the on-board computer starts pinging and if I ignore it the car goes into "limp" mode and limits top speed to 50 kph .
I've learnt to check pressures regularly .
I have always checked the tyres on everything, every week and always before a long journey. Same for the oil. I am constantly frustrated by modern batteries. I miss checking that as well. I never got out of the habit. When the kids were still at home I used to make them check the lights and indicators on the car and after they left home I had to park in front of the big glass windows at work, so I could see the reflection for myself.
Now I only check the lights etc. on the bike every time I use it. I just assume the car will always be O.K because it always has been
Over the years i have gained a couple of pumps and pressures gauges. When the mood takes me i check the pressures manually...............must learn how to read them gauge things that pop out when you put it on the valve.

Nowadays one has to pay extra on most new bikes. I did on the Z.
It is included in the upgraded versions of BMW bikes. Here in The Colonies, if you want a base model Beemer, it is special order and a few months wait for it to be shipped from Germany.
