Well a little bit of faith has been restored in BMW.
Bike went this morning for full service. They did a great job
They even volunteered to tell me there was a bung missing...........this is the bung i told them about at the 600 miles service and the 3 subsequent services, hey ho, they have ordered one....bout 3p i think.
The bike is now running sweet and i love it.................ang on who's working these key's.
Both Tyres are illegal never ever bought tyres for a bike.........so, advice please you two, where do i go to buy?????? BMW will fit for £25 each (when i go back for the bung). I don't want/need fancy MoToGP tyres. As long as they are not Teflon tyres i will be happy (ish). And there is no way i am going to do another 12k miles so durability is not an issue.................as long as they stick to the road that's as tech as they need to be.......oh and black.

Re: Ser
I find black and round is a good combination.
I have no idea. I tend to put Bridgestones on, cos I do.
Last time, the ninja got Pirelli’s, but I won’t get them again.
Why not just get the same ones as you have now - they are obviously suitable
Glad you found someone to do it.
I’ve spent the weekend sick listening to bikes on my B-road

Sick as in poorly???? if so get well, you never know it might stop raining.
Decided on tyres, just going to get a set of tyres with a name i know and not costing daft money.
Saw some Bridgestones for £85 ish.
BMW wanted £270 for a rear, didn't wait for the price of the front.

Re: Ser
By co-incidence i have ordered the same tyres that are on the bike. Pilot Road GT4s......or something like that.
Just less than £200 for the pair...........Plus £50 BMW will charge to fit them.

Re: Service
Well, I was going to suggest Bridgestones as I prefer them to anything else I've tried, but I see I'm too late. Never mind. Black and round will do the job nicely and I know a lot of people love those Pilot 4's in the wet.

Re: Service
Interesting topic tyres , as everyone has such varied opinions . Many years ago I was advised to try Pirelli Angel GTs and haven't used anything else since .
It wasn't my fault , I was left unsupervised !
Re: Service
I was once advised to try a set of Conti Sport Attack, junked them after about 1000 miles, upset the handling so much, frightening experience would never fit them again.
Re: Service
The Striple had new set of Conti Motions on when it was delivered. I never really liked them and I was very happy when they wore out and I could fit Bridgestones . I love new tyres anyway but it really felt so much better once I had them on the bike again.
Re: Service
Conti Road Attack 3 tyres have worked very well on my F 800 GT.

Re: Service
The conti's didn't suit my old bus, always used bridgestones since and it feels fine.
