I really thought I'd told everyone! It would have been so nice to catch up.
We were late arriving as it took six hours to get there after constant traffic jams and although the sidecar travelled in another van and went the alternative route we were only 20 minutes behind it. Chaos!
Then everyone was all dressed up, ready for first practice and Alan was changing the warm up plugs for the race plugs when the newly fitted oversize insert came loose and started to disintegrate. He wasn't very happy as he'd had it re-done during the week on one side and that's the one that came apart. So disappointing after all the money and effort, not even one circuit of the track, never mind a race.
We made the best of it and he walked us round the track so Leila could start learning what she needs to do where. It was good to be able to see more of the festival of bikes but we were really only there to race. We'll be back for another go though. I'll be sure to tell you all as soon as I know.
