Drive.

Post by bobsnicholson »

Finally going on my little drive.
Eurotunnel Tues morn then blast straight down to Ljubljana in Slovenia. Have a look at Lake Bled whilst there.
Then zig zag back up over 8/9 days through Austria, Switz, Lichtenstein, and top end of Italy taking in lots of passes, the Matterhorn, Eiger, Titlis and stuff in between. All Hotels are booked.
Expect photos.

No need to tell you to have fun , but when you say "Drive" , does that mean you're on four instead of two ?
It wasn't my fault , I was left unsupervised !

We have been to the top of Titlis in Switzerland before. There is a great Ice Cave there. It's accessed in a little quaint village called Englebert.
The Sky Bridge at the top between two peaks was closed when we were there due to bad weather (it had cleared up but the staff had not got there to manage it). So hopefully it will be open this time. Just one of lot's of things to see/do in the Swiss and Austrian Alps. Love it.

That's sneaky, coming to the tunnel and not telling me in time to meet up for a quick coffee. Make sure you let me know next time and maybe we can manage to find each other this time! :D

As it's you I would make the effort as the services are 24 hour. I expect you're wanting to get away fast but I can be there if you have time to stop for half an hour. Don't expect to see the Street Triple though. I'll be snug and warm in the car at that time of the morning :D

.

3 mts of snow. And our country shuts down with 2 inches on the motorway, pathetic.
