hard work

Post by bobsnicholson »

Well, it's looking like like people are happy on the FB bike forum and don't want to bother here. Ah well that's fine. Maybe they will look in when FB explodes. Secret, private, yeh sure. Damn site more people leaving FB than joining FB, FACT, wonder why???

There are lots of things I don't like about Facebook - certainly not compatible with a forum style - but it works for me, as I keep it to friends and family.

This may take off, but I haven't promoted it - perhaps we all should, and get some more faces on board (old and new)

I think on the whole people consider facebook that much more 'convenient' and don't tend to use a forum like this on their phone

while I don't think the groups on there are as good as an actual forum like this, especially when it comes to going back to topics already discussed, people do seem to respond faster on there which makes it seem more active, which it may be, but I don't feel they can be a community in the same way

I've said before, I wouldn't want to try and compete with the facebook groups, but I don't see why some people (not talking specifically to this group!) feel they can only be on one or the other... why not both??

it may take off here, it may not, but it's not costing anyone anything other than the time I've put into it, so it's not going anywhere any time soon either way

Facebook needs to be turned into a public utility, rather than a means of collecting information on people (why it was started in the first place). Don't believe what you hear - Zuckerberg is not a billionaire entrepreneur, but rather a front man for the intel agencies that really own and run Facebook. :geek:

I prefer forums, but I like to keep up with all the nice people on FB as well. I've never really got to grips with it. I'm sure things hide from me on there.

Although I never gave FB much of a chance , I couldn't get to grips where some threads were and what had been read . I prefer the forum set-up where navigation seems easier .
It wasn't my fault , I was left unsupervised !

I agree, forums like this are much easier to drive, so i am told. And i believe a bit safer, i mean is worth the bother for some bad ass to try ans get the mass details of 4 people or would they prefer to get 80 million in one go from a another social media site, erm let me think.
I am staying here and refuse to do others.
