So, I’ve heard the tales about Harpic toilet cleaner for down pipes. (The stuff in the black bottle)

Do I? Don’t I?

Trek off to Poundland and buy some non scratch sponges, harpic and brushes.

That’ll be £3

Pour some harpic in a plastic pot and paint it on.
Seconds later, it’s job-done!

Amazing stuff. It’s really thick, like gel. Brush on, and agitate a bit, then wash off. Thoroughly.

Then wash it off again! I used muck-off, plus loads of water.

I’ve ordered some acf-50, which should arrive on Monday, so the Fazer will get treated with that.

I'm almost tempted. Street Triple owners are obsessed with black Harpic. There are pages of posts on their forum, devoted to the subject. Your pipes do look good

It was soooo easy.

Pour a little bit in a cup or something, and brush it on. Splodge it about, and wash off. (Thoroughly)

I would rather have grungy exhaust pipes than smell Harpic - maybe I need to get a gas mask.

Maybe your stuff smells funny, but this didn’t.
Mind you I was outside.
It often smells funny around here The roads are covered in it

Fired it up this afternoon and watched the acf50 burn off

It’s looking very clean. Not sure if I want to ride it

Bit confused with this ACF50 stuff (easily done).
So, you clean n dry your bike, spray on this ACF50 stuff, then you can start it up and ride off and the ACF50 burns off???????
I thought it was a protector and once washed and sprayed it should just sit there.

I am NOT going to start reading instructions at my time of life.

It’s only the excess that fills the garage with a haze.
It’s still looking shiny and clean. (Although I didn’t go too far today)

I might give it another squirt, if I can see anywhere I’ve missed, other than that, jobs a goodun. Roll on spring
