It's getting closer

Post by bobsnicholson »

Well autumn and winter is not that far away. More rain, temperatures dropping etc etc.
A lot of you diehards will plod on through wind rain frost and any other bad weather mother nature will throw at you, and good luck to you.
Me, going to Spain for a couple of weeks from 20th Sept. When i get back i will have a look at the long term forecast. If it looks iffy then the bike will be cleaned, sprayed with that magic winter lotion stuff and tucked away in the garage until next April.
Looking like we will go to Dubai and Aussie for 5 months ish from 3rd week Nov, bugger. Christmas dinner on the beach again, it's just not right :-p

I'm in Spain this week on holiday. The ninja was out last Sunday, but that was all. Rain most days. Yestarday, we even gave up taking the shopping trolley back for our euro, as it was coming down so heavily! Tomorrow, it will be more of the same. If Mr NC wants to go to Alzira, he can go on his own!

I've just come across a brilliant route CV-580 up to Dos Aguas - but I won't be doing it this time...
If it ain't fun, don't do it

Next Sunday I’m on the ferry from Plymouth to Santander to ride across Spain to Portugal so if you could arrange some sun and dry roads for two weeks , we would be most grateful . 🤨
It wasn't my fault , I was left unsupervised !

I'm not doing Christmas. I'd better get on with organising being busy somewhere else. There must be some sort of charity who needs a hand on the day. We always have a big family do on Boxing day and that will be very nice, but for this first year on my own I'd rather not be the person who they all take pity on and invite for dinner. I shall enjoy myself much more somewhere else this time.

I'll probably not be going as far as Dubai though. :D

Bob :D I know there'll be a lot of invitations so I plan to have my excuse ready. I visited an animal sanctuary this afternoon, with a view to helping out for a few hours a week. I was planning on asking if they need someone to keep an eye out for some of the time. That would be a nice way to spend the day, but maybe something with people would be more helpful.

I think if i were to do any charity work it would be at some form of animal care unit (as long as it did not include picking poop up, couldn't do that)
