Weather forecast for today - horrendous. Deluges everywhere.
Matinal has already been cancelled anyway, so didn't need an early start.
Stay in bed until nine. Potter about. Bits of blue, but lots of cloud. Do a bit of gardening.
Still bits of blue. Hmmm.
Gets to 11:30, still bits of blue.
Put dinner on the go.
Stuff it - I'm going out. If I get wet, so be it. Mr NC decides not to go.
Kit up.
Drag bike out.
Do I need fuel? Hmmm nothing on the tacho. Turn key on. It was on. Realise there are no lights. Nothing.
Mr NC comes down, just as I say, "well, I'm not going anywhere anyway".
Flat battery. Yes, it was on the optimate.
Thinking about it - this one is about 5 years old, and it was a cheap one.
Grrr. New battery tomorrow then.
Still rather I found out today, than on Tuesday, when I plan a really twisty ride out with both of us. The one day with (hopefully) no rain.

I don't mind the rain until is gets too heavy to see the road - rode through a replica of Silverstone FP4 last weekend.

You couldn’t make it up!
Set off at 10:00 ish to mot the car. Queue seemed ok. Picked the line that was slowest. Took an hour to get near the front, then the battery died. Totally. Had to push it off the MOT station .
Thankfully, car place next door. Pushed it in there, and they fitted a new one. (How f***ing much? Doubled the value of the car)
Joined the queue again, and finally got our ‘pass’ sticker.
