Winter is Coming

Post by Ninjachica »

I travel east in the mornings to go to work, and west at night to come home. This morning, the sun was in my eyes. It was a bit lower than last week.

I recon there's about 6 more weeks of good riding left before it's time for the winter care to start (WD40, blanket).

I won't SWORN it, so fingers crossed for a few nice crisp days. Let's face it, it's been a blazing summer :-)

ACF 50 every year. I'll do both bikes but I might use the Kawasaki this winter and promote the Striple to a summer bike. If I ever get it back again, of course. I went to visit it today and make sure it's being looked after properly. The new ignition barrel has arrived but I'm still waiting for a workshop cancellation so mine can be bumped up the queue a bit. I always ride in the winter as well. I don't like floods or ice, but most days I can get out if I'm careful going up the lane. All the roads seem really good in comparison.

My bees have already started getting ready for winter. I'm always surprised how early they slow down each year, but then while we are having Christmas they are starting to increase their numbers really fast, so if there's ever another early spring there are lots of new, young bees ready to start work as soon as the weather warms up.

Must get some acf50 this year. Never used it before. No fairing to hide the scruffy bits!
