What a nightmare.

You need to find a local bike mechanic, rather than a shop.

The new one has a 2 year warranty..........i think.
The Wing will be sold as soon as i get it back.
Just have to live with the incompetence of the service industry and customer relations shit we get nowadays.

I agree with you.

Went to the Bikers Breakfast this morning. As a single woman, hardly anyone spoke to me! They were meant to be promoting safety. Only collected 2 stamps!

Finally got the Wing back today.
Kill switch.
Cannot believe it's taken so long which for me seemed an obvious place to start.
Kill Switch £545 unbelievable.
She started with "well Dave has worked on the bike for more than 10 hrs" (shows his flippin incompetence)
BUT
we cannot charge you that so it will be 3 hours
Total bill £845
Incompetence of the higest order eh.
Now it's going into the back of the garage until i can be arsed to get rid.

I'm glad you got it back, but that bill! And the all round uselessness.

Have you thought of buying an ER5? New indicator switch, £7 and I paid a total of £25 for buying it and having it fitted. It's a very fiddly job and I don't like playing with electrics, so I was pleased. That was a year ago and it failed on my way to get its MOT. Annoying, as I'd checked it the day before.

First MOT in this new area next week. I'm still working out where the best places for bike fixing are. If they treat me nicely and don't talk down to me I'll get new tyres done there as well.
They have women behind the counter in the parts department and they're excellent. They know how to use a parts book, even when the computer isn't working. I like them already so I hope I'm not going to be disappointed :)

ER5 switch may have been £7 a year ago but now with inflation they are £545.
2 ladies at the service point in Bill Smith's, they were the only humans that knew what they were talking about.

I would say
Glad you have it back

But you aren't.

You need to buy your own workshop. I'd bring my bike in
