Post by Snev »

Getting my Aprilia suspension set up properly at a specialist shop in Poole today.... might have to take the long way home.
Ok, I confess.......

Bike Transformed, the chap did a great job, it was like a different bike... apparently it was set up with a 60% rear weight Bias, 40% front, it's now 50/50 and the whole front end is lower and all feels sweet. Race Lab Suspension if anyones interested.

Loved getting the suspension done on my Daytona. Absolutely a completely different ride afterwards.

I also had the suspension tweaked on the Street Triple as the original was non-adjustable. I had a CBR RR unit fitted and they work very nicely. That was a few years ago. It wouldn't hurt to get it done again sometime, but the place I used to use has closed and I still don't know enough about local places to trust I'd get the same service.

So glad you're pleased with yours. It's the cheapest way I've ever found to improve the handling on mine. Money well spent :)

I did a google of local places, a few came up including JHS ! i swiftly dismissed them and chose Race Lab...... The chap was a race bike suspension specialist in WSB in New Zealand and he set up his own business 22 years ago.... I'll be getting the MT09 done next.

Wonder what would happen if I took the ER5 :D
I don't think there's much scope for changes there. It was miles too tall for me, until Phil clicked it down to the lowest setting on the springs. I'd forgotten about C spanners and their use. Good thing one of us was still using a brain. :)

I doubt i would notice any difference.
Although the modes on the Wing (not tried them on the new bike yet) there is a marked difference when put in sport mode. I just feel the difference in power delivery not in the suspension.
Work is for people that can't play golf.

I'd be clueless.

I'm always happy with new tyres, but i don't think i would understand the difference if someone tweaked my suspension.

The Tuono jest felt wrong, not at all good in the corners.... It now feels brilliant..... most of the front adjustment was on max which was so wrong for my height and weight.
