Loomies.

Post by Beelady »

If tomorrow looks dryish and I wake up feeling fittish I'm going to attempt a ride to Loomies, for lunch. Probably a really bad idea on a summer Sunday, but I've checked my tyres, filled up with fuel, charged my headset and warned the sat-nav that it may be needed. I understand the road works on my proposed route are really bad, too.
I have a chaperone, as my friend Christine thought it would be good for me to have company so Phil will quite likely come along as well.
Finger's crossed for fair weather :D

Woken up feeling rather poorly. I think it'll have to be another day.
I'd heard about the camera vans and also lots more roadworks along the fast route I wanted to try. :(
I think a weekday might be more sensible. Enjoy the Grom, Nev.

oh, that's a shame.... I prefer week days too as the Cops and Vans tend to be more active at the weekends on the busy Bikers routes.... i have to be careful where I ride the Grom as It's only insured as a standard 125.... I can't be arsed to get it covered with all the mods !
Ok, I confess.......

I never told the insurance about the Harley tweaks. I didn't alter anything with the way it looked and that was part of the fun for me. It really worried bikers on "real" bikes. They couldn't quite work out what had just happened to them.
Those were the days! If I say so myself I was really pretty good on that bike :D Couldn't do it now, of course. I was much stronger and fitter back then. I had to have lessons on how to ride the Striple when I first bought it. I was much too heavy handed with it.
Hard to believe that was just over 10 years ago. I still miss the thing, despite the discomfort it caused me. SO much fun!
