I'm getting a bit fed up with it. I have plenty of things to play with, but what I really want is to get my bike out in comfort and get some big miles of practice in. And gardening. I'm so looking forward to making this new garden.
And I want the builders to go away, even though they haven't started yet. They want some dry weather too.
It's a bit like one of those puzzles. You need to complete each step before you can start the next clue.

Today I've made bread (rising, while I cook an apple pie) and a new recipe for apple pie. It involves a great deal of fat and sugar. I suspect an American may have had access to the recipe in the development phase, so I've cut the amounts in half.
New recipes are a sign of bike withdrawal symptoms. I know all the signs :'-(

Yesterday the 4th the weather was lovely here so a big bike ride was in order.
257 miles (including miles lost)
Ludlow-Bridgenorth-Ironbridge.
Left at 9am, it was 4c. It got up to 13c, very very pleasant.
Home 3.45pm, very satisfied.
Work is for people that can't play golf.

That sounds good, Bob.
I have a lunch date with one of my Street Triple friends on Friday. I'm looking forward to a few hours on dry roads and a nice pub roast :)

I've had a lovely day! Quiet roads this morning and a long lunch with one of my besties,
in a posh, country pub. The Street Triples looked beautiful in the sun, waiting for us to finish.
A good ride home, starting with back lanes and working up to the Thanet Way for the last few miles. That bike is such a joy at frolicking speed. It was singing it's best song and other drivers behaved surprisingly well. Only one middle lane hogger, swiftly dealt with. I thought we'd grown out of that sort of thing
Home in time for tea and biscuits on the sun terrace.

Only 6 weeks to go until we go beach racing again! Can't wait! One of my favourite days of the year and now only down the road for me. Wonder if my new neighbours are going to enjoy the madness and also the fancy dress.
Maybe I should warn them :D

Don't warn them

Can you put a camera up somewhere, so you can watch their reaction over and over again
😆😆

My friend Rob will be beach racing. He's coming to stay for a couple of nights. He's bald, but with a good beard, dyed in rainbow stripes and was last seen wearing a black and white cow print onesie.
That'll give them something to wonder about :D

And the builders arrived yesterday! They work fast and I love hearing their accents (Leeds and Manchester). There's a storm coming our way today so I imagine it will be a short day. I don't want them falling off their ladders in 50mph winds.
