Tyers (tires)

When i got back from the taffy run i was looking around the bike and thought the back tyre was looking a bit suspect.
Now, i have never ever had a bike long enough to need to change a tyre. The side bits are ok as i don't do bends and corners (sound familiar)
So, the bike rides and feels fine, when do i change.???? The bike has now done 11,000 ish miles on the tyres it was supplied with.

Can you see metal wire sticking out of the tyre ? If not , it’s fine.

On a sensible note , I’ve just put a new set on mine just due to the lack of confidence I had in the feel going round bends. They looked good but according to the man who wanted my £250 , I should have changed them well before.

I replace my tyres (tires) when they look like this.

I just changed my tyres.
Tyre wear indicators, look on the sidewall of your tyre there should be tiny triangles spaced around it,follow these onto the tread area and look for a small block in the tread groove this is a wear indicator. When the tyre is worn down to this block change it.Image

Got a couple of blurry pics of indicator marks on mine, Bridgestone don't use the centre line wear block fortunately !!

Cleaned the bike this am. Looked for those blocks and i think i found them. If i am right i still have a bit of life in the tyres. I have always been light on the throttle and brakes.
