Stupid thing.

Went to The Lakes (camping).
Technically Solway Firth
Site was near Silloth
I must have gone down every single lane in the area following the 'biker friendly' route it sent me. A couple of them were 'you are kidding', but i went down them anyway, as i had no clue where i was going.

Pain in the butt.
And this was after work, M6 roadworks, M6 shut, then the whole world and his brother trying to get through Kendal.

Filtering between lorries with boxes on was interesting.

Weather was glorious on Friday and Saturday.
Hadrian's Wall. Aria Force waterfall. Grandkids building sandcastles on the beach.

Then m6 home again, but much better. Satnav only sent me awry south of Carlisle, but then i popped out where i wanted to be!

I might go back to paper maps 😆

Oh, and it does make me chuckle when it pops up with the ' time for a rest ' and shows the food and fuel stops nearby (and i still have 90 miles in the tank)

Devon has more roads than any other UK county.... and they are all 3ft wide. :D

I live in a village near uttoxeter.
Only 2 ways in and out.

One of the roads has deteriorated terribly, so i use the other one all the time now.
Coming back from the lakes i used the bad road (slightly more direct). Geee. Loads worse. Some of the potholes have been filled (probably by a farmer), but one stretch had so much debris in the middle, it will be grass next spring.
