Kit

Post by Ninjachica »

Decided to try my textiles out today, to see how warm they really were.

No thermals.
Not even any leggings.
Legs were cosy with the liners in the trousers.

Recon i could go out (with thermals) at around 5⁰

Well chuffed.

Good to hear you will still be out and about......I gave up buying dedicated Bike gear years ago as nothing I ever bought was warm or waterproof enough and i just felt ripped off..........Just bought a thermal, waterproof fishing suit... £72 off EBay.... works a treat, lightweight warm and comfy... the trousers are a Bib and Braces design so double warm on the chest area......got a new pair of Goretex walking boots for £54 and I'll be buying a new pair of Richa Arctic gloves next week as mine are @10 years old now. It's great to be warm and dry in the winter months......... the suit is Thermal lined, waterproof and rated at 5000mm ... not sure if it'll still be dry at M Way speeds in the rain though !

Good call, fishing gear.

Ed used to have a JCB jacket. Obviously designed for outdoor workers. He said it was the warmest, waterproof jacket he'd ever had.
(Came free with a JCB 😄😄😄😄)

Ha ha... Free with a JCB lol..... to be honest, I did look at buying a proper decent set of rukka stuff but heard some disappointing reviews and it can be @ £2000 for a suit !!! £72 is far better....

I spent a small fortune on Alpinestars Drystar jacket and trousers once . Total waste of money as they're not waterproof , poorly made and probably weigh something similar to riding in a suit of amour .
It wasn't my fault , I was left unsupervised !
