And I've not had to use a bike or van for any trips...... 200 miles and counting.... i'm sure the novelty will wear off though

As a matter of interest , do you have to do much pedalling ?

All of a sudden I'm interested with no pedalling .
They don't look too bad either , better than I had imagined . Might have to have a closer look at one sometime , not sure there will be too many dealers near me .

Being honest about it.... It's way better than people might think... I'm a real "E" sceptic given the costs of purchase and unknown future issues but this thing is just so good for just popping out and about in the local area........ as long as you avoid the faster roads .......It does hold it's own at the lights (I'm such a kid at times but it really does shift due to the instant torque....) and it's so nimble in traffic plus you can take it off road and no-one really knows it's not just a Mountain Bike...... Range is pretty crap for anything further than 10 miles there and 10 miles back, It makes you worry about running out of Volts, especially with long hills but as long as you know that it's fine... should get @ 35 miles realistically per charge and if you want to go on tour forget it, just take your other bike... it's not that comfy either........ would I buy a proper E MC....... nope not really... they are way too dear and un proven but this little bundle of joy does actually make a lot of sense for much of my riding...... Go take a look at Youtube, there's lots to see.

Had a look for my nearest dealer and surprisingly only 30 miles away , and on their website they also offer the Silence 01 electric moped which seems pretty decent if you believe the quoted performance figures.
Only problem is SWMBO has said finishing the house is more important than toys .

That was a new one on me.... looks pretty decent though for a runabout.... that 0-31 in 3.9 seconds should surprise a few at the lights ! .... it's the instant torque that gets it going that impresses most about these bikes and the range of probably 50 miles makes it Ideal as a runaround which it's meant to be. I would hurry up and finish the house, they you can go play !!!

Anyway..... today i took the MT09 out for a little ride..... wow, how rusty was I ? .... the thing felt gigantic, cumbersome and very heavy........ It's strange how things distort the mind.........Z900 up for sale now to pay for the Tranny...... already looking for another to replace it but undecided on what..... Might go for a Tuono, a Suzuki GT1000 or that BMW R1250RS I fancy.......... got to save a few pennies first though............
